افتراضي Better Advert Handling
I got excited when I saw there was Adsense compatibility with vB , how ever having now set it up , im pretty disappointed, and I wont be able to use it.


How about a little more flexibility in where you can place the ads? I dont want to be another forum with giant ugly ad's as the first thing you can see on a forum.

And also, i dont want the ad's to appear on EVERY single page, i dont need ads on the forum list. just the forum threads or blog posts maybe.

I have a free little tool for SMF that does exactly what I think everyone would want.
  1. Allows for ads to be placed on only certain forums
  2. Allows for ad's to be placed under particular posts on threads, ie 1st, 3rd, 7th and 10th posts so you dont flood the user with ads' and you dont ruin the forums look by adding a huge gap between the navbar and the content.
  3. Allows for ads to be only visible to guests and lower post count people.
  4. Allows for different ads to be on different positions. Ie , the premium sponsor can have directly under the 1st post, where as the cheaper sponsors can have the 5th or 6th posts.
the ad handling is pretty poor on VB4 , im sure most people on here are looking for ways to make money with their $285 forum , so some better ad management would be pretty essential i should think.

the platform is there, and the adsense integration seems to work well , it just sucks that iv got to go and hack up templates because its too limited.

please consider expanding on this.
