We all know that the chances are some vb3 modifications will not work with vb4* fair enough it is the price we pay for progress and modifying the default offering.
However I am concerned about some of the custom modifications that I have on my site as I am certain they will not work on VB4. I am keen to upgrade to Vb4 once it is proven however I am also keen to not loose any of the content held within my custom modifications (i.e. articles) and I obviously don't want my members/visitors missing out.
As such* during the transition* I would like to run VB4 along side a read only instance of the original VB3 site. Obviously this would require me to move the VB3 code base to an alternative location (i.e. http://www.mysite.com/legacy/).
So the question is* from a licensing (not technical) point of view can I do this?
