Major Version Frequency?

First of all* I very much plan to upgrade to the Suite for $130* but before I do* I have just one simple question.

I have an owned license* so if I purchase the upgrade for $130* can you give me a rough "ball park figure" on how long my 4.0 Suite license will last before I must upgrade to the next major version? How much time between versions? What will be the frequency of upgrades between versions?

I know it is impossible to predict exactly when the next version will come out* but I need a rough idea so I can predict my cost share in this venture. I know you must have developed an equation for the new pricing scheme* so what are your plans for new releases? Every three years? Two tears? Five years? Can you please elaborate?

This is a legitimate question* so I pray that you will give me an honest answer.
