I have been using the demo of VB and like it very much so far. We are considering it to create a discussion forum for our customers. My company does energy management for corporate customers. The forum is initially targeted at users from a specific corporation (corporation #1). We have other customers (corporation #2 for example) who may benefit from their own forums in the future, but we would not want them necessarily to mingle with customers from corporation #1.
So my question is can we set up user groups where the users can only see specific forums, posts, calendars, community, user directories and public profiles, etc. intended for their group? Maybe even have users from different companies post to the same forum structure, but still only see threads, posts, and users from their own company. This would make it more convenient for us to manage delivery of customer-specific forums to additional customers in the future without having to start from scratch each time. We might also want to have certain sticky items that could be seen by all groups such as best practices guides, posting rules, etc. that would apply to all groups.
