Building a Network - What are your opinions?

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am in the midst of building a network of sites that offer a variety of services. I am posting here today because I have a few questions to ask. First I will describe what is going on so you have a complete idea of what the situation is.

This network of sites will be offering paid services. Some of these site's will include shopping cart systems, wordpress, and other php & sql software. The plan is to have all of these sites link to a "network" homepage for a "network wide" portfolio, forum community, testimonial database, and company contact information. During planning of the network and the websites I decided that having one forum for all the sites would be the best option. I will list these reasons in a list below.

• Easy manage all customers from all sites on one community databse. This saves time and effort.
• Limit overall upgrade responsibility. The list of software for all the sites is extensive, so the less I have to upgrade the more I can focus on client relations and solutions.
• vBulletin offers a "Theme per forum" option which will let me make it seem as if their are more than 1 community softare installed.

Anyhow I have a few questions as follows:

1. Would it be best to include all the sites on one cpanel server account (the "account")? Or should multiple accounts be made for each site?

2. If I include all sites on one account how will this effect the collection of web statics like keywords lists, connection times, and visited pages.
3. Based on what you have read, can you offer me any advice or "things to look out for"?
