Can't remove it now?

I am just getting ready to go live with my Forum and I am learning allot as I go. So, I search on google about adding advertising to the Forum Home page and I find this page:

Looked great, so I followed the instructions exactly and it added the box called Sponsors, right at the top. I even went back into the template and changed the phrase and thought it was nice. But, then I thought for now I would remove it and remember it for the future. But when I go back to the same spot in the template . . . it changed. I can't even find the phrase that I typed in, but it's still showing. I even copied this part of the template from another unchanged installation I made, but it still won't go away.

Does it get copied to another template or what happened. I don't want to keep making changes in fear of screwing up something else. How can I get that template back to the way it was and get rid of the extra box for now. If I need to put in a ticket to give you my admin ID, let me know? Thanks
