I was creating an article today, and came up with a couple of ideas that I think might be useful for the CMS.
First, is there a way to lock a person out of editing an article if there is already someone editing it? Or, possibly listing somewhere in the editor area if someone else is also editing it at the same time. I was talking to one of my article writers while I was messing with an article, and he opened it up as well. Although I didn't try it, I have a feeling that if I made changes to the article while he had it opened, any changes I might have made would have been overwritten when he got out of it by saving as well. I'm not sure of the best way to go about this, but I think something has to be put in place for instances like this.
Second, I'm not sure if this would be a widget or what, but would it be possible to link to a text popup, similar to lightbox for images. I came up with this thought when I had something in my article that I wanted to explain further, but not in the article. But it also wasn't something I really wanted to create a new article or static page for. I basically just wanted a person reading the article to be able to click on the word, and have a small window open up and provide a brief description of the word, but not get away from the actual article.
