Forum Transferring license and moving directories and failing miserably

Hello everyone,

My friend and I decided to split up our sites. He transferred the license so that I would have it for my site. I copied the files to my new server and after some minor troubleshooting we got the site to work. All the posts and blogs are there, the styles and phrases work.

So, problem #1: everything is under my friend's license #. I would like to install my own files so that when I need to upgrade it is my account # that I need to put in and not his.


#2: All the files reside in the root directory and I would like them to be in domain.com/community/

Here is what I've done. First I installed my own version of vBulletin in the /community/ directory. Then I ran through the install script. Next, I changed the vB options of site name and cookie path. Finally, I deleted all the files from the root folder except for the /community/ folder.

Although the site was showing up, none of the database items such as posts, blogs or the admin panel were working. What am I missing? Is there something in the database that needs to be modified?
