Question: OWNED 3 expires tomorrow, Own 4 havent used can I transfer ?

My owned license 1 yr expires tomorrow, what does this mean ? I would like to upgrade it to vb4 right now. I also own a 4 license that I set up but closed the board due to spambots and not having enough tiime, so what do I do, should I install 4 on the 3 board and then renew when I need the next fix or can I /should I transfer the 4 v. I'm not using over? If I don't install the sw when it's still active does that mean I can't again once it expires? Not sure how soon vb5 will be, maybe after 4.9? Thanks, __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
