CMS Serious Issues - VBulletin really need to supply variable information

I am customising my site. A lot.

And I am doing a lot of editing to the templates to move them around. However, one thing that vBulletin doesn't tell you is that even the {vb:raw vboptions} is of limited scope!


First of all, I've had to move all of my header information into the navbar template, because for some barmy reason only the navbar template has the scope to know that the home CMS tab has been selected or enabled there.

But now I find that in my modified template, the facebook connect item doesn't work because the vboptions variable doesn't contain the facebookconnect enabled boolean in scope! I mean WTF?!?! Why not just keep the same variable in scope throughout the loading of a page?!? Especially with something like vboptions that literally could be relied upon by EVERYTHING in your site.

It's time consuming and frustrating.

Can you tell me, what 'options' are in scope and can I use inside the navbar, header, and footer templates?!?!
