Forum Charsets / Encoding problems

Hi,

I'm having a big problem with vBulletin and it's output charsets (Always has been ISO-8859-1, recently started displaying UTF-8 Byte order mark - ï»? - at beginning of output) which appears to be causing forum-wide problems such as image.php outputting invalid images, and the XML used in my shoutbox failing to be parsed by most browsers.

If anyone knows what might be causing this, PLEASE let me know.

Otherwise, can someone simply tell me what default charset(s) vBulletin uses for its database tables.
