Pruning Threads

Hi guys, yesterday in an effort to cut down my database i decided to delete some of the older posts from my BB, anyway the page under admincp timed out after say about an hour, and i thought maybe ill do them bit by bit, but ever since slowly my server load has been increasing, it was at 100+ at one stage ! do you think the command to prune is still running in mysql (im assuming this is how the threads are pruned) that's causing the server loads to sky rocket, what do you guys think __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
