CMS How to fix these forum quote issues within CMS?

What's happening is that i'm using promote to article (to promote a forum post/topic to the CMS article area).

the article looks like this...

and in the recent articles widget, the quote within the forum post isn't posting (see photo 1)

then when i hit the section where the article is posted, the quote also does not show up

How can i fix these anomalies?
