Forum Changing the name of a thread

Hi there,

I'm administering a forum and a user wants to change the title of a thread they've created but says the system won't allow them to. I've tried this myself by creating a dummy thread and I'm allowed to change the title to start with but thereafter the new title is displayed in the body of the thread, rather than in the title. Can I change the forum settings to allow titles to be changed whenever and is there a reason why I may not wish to allow this?
