Perhaps someone can help this poor confused soul. Today I downloaded 4.0.4 pl1 but before I upgraded my site I thought I'd better have a looksee to ensure there are no gotchas. From what I can see there seems to be an upgrade to 4.0.4pl1 already http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...Upgrade-Script. ...and there are also some manual edits that need to be performed... http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...-Common-Issues Is that correct? Or is there a much more elegant solution to this. I just want to apply the patch and go, I don't have time to be flaffing around with manual edits and such like! And what's with all the issues with attachments disappearing. Is that resolved or what. Given that 4.0.3pl1 seems to have broken my SMTP-based email (I've only just discovered this) when I applied that I'm reluctant to get myself in to more mess with yet another dodgy upgrade. And just what is going on that the last two upgrades seem to have caused more problems than they've fixed! FYI the email error I'm getting (it appears when someone uses Contact US, sends a email using the form or sends a PM) is as follows... Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen ]: unable to connect to tcp://mail.isp.net:25 (Connection refused) in [path]/includes/class_mail.php on line 637 The SMTP login is the same as previously, as is the password and I've double checked them. It all worked well before 4.0.3pl1 but not since. I didn't even know I had new users registering because it wasn't alerting me. __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
