CMS Facebook Like Button - No history kept after a post has been liked?

When you go and hit the like button, at first it shows you like it but when you go back to it later shows as though no one has pressed the like button?? It doesnt keep a history of who pressed the like button. Wont this cause people to like more than once, then see it has been posted more than once in there facebook, then never use the like button again?? To me this needs to be fixed asap before people stop using it! Or have I set it up wrong? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
