Vbulletin is forum software. Not Blog software Not CMS software But forum software Therefore, the default functionality should be : 1. Forum post promoted to either an article or blog should have comments posted in either location on the blog or article synced with originating thread. 2. Original article or blog should have a check box / drop down option of creating a new thread simultaneously into the forum (the purpose of the drop down). Again, comments in either location are synced. If the author of the article or blog chooses NOT to have their article or blog also appear in the forums, then they just have to not choose anything. 3. All Admin, permissions, views, etc are inherited from the assigned forum. vBulletin is forum software. The default functionality of the Blog and Article modules should support driving users into the forums, and not away. This paradigm is the value added proposition of vbulletin over blogging alternatives (which vbulletin has publicly stated is their competition. Please comment on this thread, please comment on this bug tracker, and vote on the bug tracker if you think this should be done...... http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBIV-952 Here is the mod on vb.org.
