Forum Style generator - this is a joke, right?

This new style generator--great concept, horrible execution. So you can move a button around a color box to choose *some* colors for particular elements. So what? The controls are far too general. And once you've created a style, how do you get back to the style generator to adjust things visually? Can't be done, right?


Also, the level of control available with the style generator is nowhere near as granular as the level of control available in 3.x styles. What's more, the use of the generator is confusing at best. Just look at switching between "choose primary color" and "fine tune colors," for example. Choose Primary Color is a "tab" that is higher up than the Fine Tune Colors tab.

What's more, entering Hex values is confusing, too. Turns out you can only enter a hex value for the main page color. The other fine-tuned colors are color wheel only. Very limiting.

And you've grouped things like Background, Font Color. Huh???? Why not be able to choose those separately.

All in all, this thing is a bad joke. Please, if you're going to implement a feature, make it good the first time out. This is crap, and has been a huge waste of my time.

In short, this move to to vB 4 has been nothing but pain for your massive installed base. Have you made it easy simply to export a 3.x style and import it into 4.x? Noooooo! That would be too easy, I suppose. Instead we must grapple with this monstrosity of a styling system you've developed for 3.x. Just really horrible XXXX! __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
