Forum "Unusual" characters in forum thread title break the sitemap for Google?

I have had problems with my sitemap at Google where according to webmaters tools, there are errors in it.

When I parse the compressed main sitemap file, I get two parse errors, both with IE and FF.

The first was a "´" character like "é" but on its own (someone wrote "it´s" in the title).

The second was a ™ char.

In both cases, both IE and FF parsers broke at those particular posts when reading the XML.gz file . The FF error was "XML Parsing Error: not well-formed".

Could be the cause of the Google problem too?

I have manually edited these two thread titles,and regenerated the sitemap. They now parse OK with my browsers.

I have resubmitted to Google so now I will wait and see..... __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
