Forum Q: Swapping servers and IP, can I lock site for writing but leave read access on?

I am swapping server and IP for a site. I have copied the code and tested dB and all is OK.


Before repointing the DNS I'd like to lock the old server/site, copy the latest dB to the new server and open it for writing so that people can gradually start publishing there when the DNSes have updated.

How can I lock Forum, CMS, Blog etc on the old server from writing but leave it on for reading? Is there a simple way? Statistics, visitor info etc are not critical, they can be locked too.

All I find is how to turn the site OFF completely in the ACP. __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
