Forum Image & editor trouble

First of all, sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section, or if I should've made separate threads for each question, but I couldn't find any posting guidelines. Anyway, we (escforum.net) recently upgraded from 3.8.4 to 4.0.3, and while most kinks have been worked out, some issues are beyond my abilities.


Ok, the problems:

1) Posts no longer stretch horizontally around wide elements like big images, so that now such elements cut straight through the right hand side post frame, out across the background (see attachment). Happens in both Internet Explorer and Firefox. Can I do something about this?

2) When writing long posts in the advanced editor (i.e. not quick reply) the text box starts scrolling up by itself whenever you move the mouse marker (doesn't matter which way you move it). This only happens in Internet Explorer (the only only other browser I've tested is Firefox, though), and only in the basic and standard editors - the enhanced WYSIWYG editor does not generate this problem.

Again, sorry if I'm duplicating - I did search, but couldn't find anything.
