Forum Empty space in messages

When a user using a signature post a message, then there is lot of empty space between the last sentences of the message and the signature.
How can I remove this empty space?

Another question:
I noted that the first line in every post is the message title proceeded with an icon.
Is it possible to remove the icon and empty line if there is no message title?
