Forum Users are pasing from Microsoft Word and losing content

I've just installed Version 4.0.3 latest, and unfortunately the users are pasting reports they've written using Microsoft Word into th WYSIWYG editor - and the content is being lost when they create a new thread.


I've reproduced this by copying an existing document, but rather than striping out the MS Word unknown characters (or even replacing them) the input field loses all of the content after the first bad/strange character.


This happens when creating a new Thread, not when editing a thread inline, or using quick reply.

Any thoughts?

Edit: I also just tried to copy/paste a lot of text from a wikipedia page too, and characters such as this: – cause the content to be lost/ignored. So it isn't just a word problem. perhaps my encoding or something? UTF? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
