Categories, Forums, Posts, Gone!

I opened a support ticket on this but it says it could be 4+ hours.

My v3.85 board has been down for about 24 hours now and I need help. I suspect it is something very simple. The strange thing is, it occured while I was installing a new v4.0 board for another site. The only connection is that they are on the same server.


My main 3.85 board lost all of its categories and forums. It just shows just "Main Category" and "Main Forum" with no posts. The stats say:

Threads: 7,451, Posts: 258,231, Members: 5,236

...but nothing is showing. They apear to be in the database, but even when I go to the Forum Managaer it just shows "Main" as the only forum. Interestingly, when I look at "Forum Permissions" the full list of forums show.

The only thing I could think of was that the new 4.0 board I installed (which had all kinds of strange issues) was somehow screwing up the old 3.85 site.

So, I deleted the new 4.0 site and its database, and retored the old 3.85 site's DB to the previous night and even retored the VB directory to a prior date, but that didn't help.
