What's the BEST VPS out there (price/performance)?

I'm really excited to deploy my new vBulletin license ... but I'm "stuck" trying to figure out the best way to proceed.

Background: I have about 300 members on a phpBB Message Forum right now ... growing at about 50-100 members per month. So I want to move fast ... but I also want to do it right ... hence, vBulletin :-)

Anyway ... I looked at URLJet ... but concerned about a few things with them: They look like a great company with excellent vBulletin service ... BUT ... they max out at about 175 concurrent users on a "shared" server in which they charge $24.95/month. A VPS with them is running at a minimum of $109/month.


Seems like the recommended deployment, which allows for sufficient extensibility, is to use a VPS instead of a "shared" server. So, that's fine.

That said ... what would you all recommend for me as the BEST VPS based on 'performance' and 'price' ???
