Forum Search problem? Cannot find a thread

I've got a user who has a thread he created (currently closed) which he cannot find in either his subscribed thread list or under the link "Threads Created by User" in his profile.

I tried the following and couldn't find the thread (he provided a screenshot)
- The link "Threads created by user" in his profile

- Did a search for all threads created by him in that sub-forum

The only way to find that thread was to browse every page of the forum where he created that thread.

So the question is, is it to do with the search indexes? These were rebuilt a day after upgrading to vB4 however i did run into an error. Is it possible that this (and other threads) weren't included? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
