Has anyone tried manually replacing the YUI 2.7.0 JavaScript that comes with vBulletin to 2.8.0 or 3.0.0?

I was working on splitting the Blogs and CMS products into their own sub-domains, and I ran into an issue with cross-domain AJAX calls.

The short version is YUI 2.8.0/3.0.0 support cross-domain requests with the YUI connection manager, and 2.7.0 does not.
