Blog Send Email to Users

I've resurrected an old forum and wanted to send email to all the users to let them know it's alive again.

One of the fields in the send email function is this:

Email to send at once:

I entered 200, I'm on a dedi server but figured rather be safe than sorry.

Two questions


1) Does 200 mean it batches 200, sends them out, then immediately starts the next batch and sends those out or do I have to manualy intervene somewhere?

2) The Reason I don't know the answer to the above is, it stopped at 103 emails

Looked like this:

102 - nincompoof .... Emailing Okay
103 - DVoland ....

And that was it for at least 5 minutes, nada.

So I eventually closed down the window.

Any light anybody could throw on both questions would be appreciated please.
