Forum Can a user disable smilies?

Hi Guys, wonder if anyone can advise on this. My forum users are split as to whether they love or hate smilies. As there seems to be no common ground, I wondered if there is a setting that allows smilies to be enabled/disabled on a user by user basis?


Disabling images in posts seems to have no effect on the display of smilies and disable smilies in text seems to affect the posts that you make as a user, but has no effect on your viewing of smilies on other users posts.
