CMS Anyway to have threads that are promoted on the CMS just link to the threads

Right now if someone clicks on an article on the CMS, it brings them to the article page. And if it was promoted from a thread, there's a link at the bottom to that as well.

Is there anyway to just have threads or blog posts that have been promoted to the CMS just link directly back to the original post, and skip the article view altogether? I don't like having replies in two places, and would much rather have CMS content directly link to the threads.


In Vbadvanced I could just choose some awesome threads to be highlighted so more people could notice them. I can understand the article page being valuable to many sites, but for mine, the CMS seemed like a great opportunity to highlight user content, and the article page just acts as a barrier to getting folks into the conversation immediately.

I know there is a mod that duplicates the comments in both places, but that seems very redundant and (correct me if im wrong) hurtful to SEO.
