Hi My current installation has over the years been bastardised in so many ways that I just wouldn't like to upgrade it so I was just wondering if there would be any issues with doing this process: 1. Create a completely new vb4 install in a development environment adding what mods etc that I currently use in my live site to get it all nice and clean. 2. To go live export/import the relevant users, threads, posts and all other auxiliary tables from the live db to the new db - cleansing the data from now not used many table fields, ignoring all the defunct tables that are from old mods etc. Note all attachments, images etc are disk stored 3. Move all the current live files into a backup zip 4. Move all the files from the development environment across to the live environment 5. Tweak where necessary Are there any reason why this can't be done. I know there will be some tweaking of the data in terms of corresponding table layouts, fields etc however I have done some basic looking and it seems that it could be done. Thanks for your help! __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
