Forum Random "\" appears in link URL's?

Ok, I upgraded to version 4.0.1 of vBulletin an hour ago, however, after upgrading I encountered a slight problem.

My forum has decided to add a trailing "\" character after some of the site url's.

Unfortunately, the problem is not as simple as it seems.

Most of my links are working perfectly and take the user to the correct URL. However, occasionally a link will add the "\" character creating an invalid url. I've tested a lot of my site and it happens when a user logs in, or presses the "Whats New?" button.


To make things even more complicated, the extra "\" is not appearing in the links URL when you view the source-code. Its only when you click the link that it happens.
