vB3 Navbits-like string in header template?

I would like to create a string value (not a link) with the forum name (if a forum) or the forum name and subforum name if a subforum.

Example: Site Foo, Forum X

"X"

Site Foo, Forum X, Subforum Y
"X > Y"

(Again, as a string and preferably in the header template.)

I thought I could do something with the navbits array but it does not appear to be defined for the header? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
