CMS Can you use the CMS with v3.8.4?

Looks like I could have made a pretty big mistake, tho am hoping their is a way around this!

I really wanted the CMS features so I signed up for the publishing suite, only to find the web hosting I'd chosen/paid for, inadequate in their ability to advertise their php version as outdated. After a fruitless call to the tech support and being told it could be 6months before they roll out 5.2, if they actually do. Only other option they offered was a dedicated server!


Well, vB4.0 requires PHP v5.2, so had to rollback to the older version of 3.8.4, which doesn;t have the CMS bundle. Is there anyway I can oncorporate the CMS pack into 3.8.4 or will it just not work that way and it's the CMS that's requiring 5.2?

Going to be having strong words in the morning with my hosting account manager! Though am hoping there is an easy solution with a plugin or 2! __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
