Going live with difference license/domain* but same server

The time has finally come for me to move over my friend's site to his domain name and license. I've been using my own inactive dev site (from my unused license) to set it up to a point where he's convinced he wants to go with vB. It's fairly customized but otherwise (codewise* except for one change) stock.

The good news is that it's going to reside on the same server* but I just need to overwrite the now-dev-but-soon-to-be-live version with his vB files. I'm doing a same-version overwrite* and staying exactly in the same spot on the server. The only thing changing will be the domain-name. (Basically I'm renaming my dev.domain.com folder to his live name* and changing config.php accordingly.)

Is there anything special I need to do* other than reset the cookie path* and change the domain in the control panel before the switchover? I've looked over the oft-referenced changing-server docs here* and those mostly deal with physically moving (and backing up) the files. In this case* I don't think I need to do that* apart from a reasonable backup to be safe.


Any suggestions or recommendations? His vB license account is configured for his domain* and I'll be replacing my vB files with his before we go live (it was previously inaccessible) and making any minor code changes. I would expect the commercial plugins and products will still work without any re-configuring.

So basically... the db and site files will still be on the same server* I'm going to change the domain name and reset cookie path in admin* and update any domain references from "dev" to "live". Am I missing anything?
