Decrease forum display cell height - remove author from last post column?

I think the combination of thread title, post author and date in last post column is making the cell height unnecessarily high (when forum description is just one or two lines). I was wondering if it would somehow be possible to merge author and date to the same line, although I know it might be difficult.


If that doesn't work, how do I simply remove/hide the author of the last post? Tried to look for it in admin options but couldn't find.
