Delete posts help plz..

Hi,
In my forum, there are some topics that have 100's of replys, and i dont want this to slow down the forum. So Id like to delete them, however if i do this, it will take away from the user post counts and rep etc wont it..?

So, is there a way to delete these posts without effecting their post count/status?
