2 small problems with rep

Both I believe are default features that I just cant find.

The first one is how much rep is given. In the past I've been part of forums that you can choose how much you give/take from the person (Up to however much rep power you have). Right now when my members rep it automatically uses the max amount. How would I fix that?


The second problem is that most sites tell you when someone leaves you rep, just like if someone PMs you. My site isn't doing that. How would I make it alert users when they receive new rep? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
