Some Queries before buying VB

I am the co-administrator of a locally popular forum. This forum is based on SMF 1.1.10.


We're interested in converting our SMF-board to VB however before buying VB, I need to be sure that the import utility VB offers can successfully import all boards/threads and members.

We also have problems with speed which we think are related to SMF's problems in dealing with huge amount of posts etc. Does VB run faster or slower than SMF?

The last query is about a front page mod - are there any good front page mods which work with VB that you can suggest? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
