In 2009 when IPB came out with their new 3.0 version of the software, I made the decision that if I was going to be forced to learn new software, it was going to be vBulletin because at that time vB was the best thing on the market. So, i switched to vB. I loved 3.8 which had recently been released by vB. It was wonderful! The support here was great, you had the mod community over at vb.org, everything was going good! That is until Jelsoft sold the company to IB. They rolled out 4.0 with all its bugs calling it gold. It is not until recently that I would call it a good product. Hey, we are finally on our way to a good product. Nope! 5.0 Connect was rolled out last year. So I went ahead and purchased 5.0 which IMHO is a bad clone of IPB 3.x product. So this is the direction your going in. Your going to a product similar to your competition? I had a decision to make. Do I stick with vB and wait 2 years for their 5.0 to be something that I would consider switching to, or do I go back to IPB who has been developing the product for 4 years. Duh! The decision was easy. So, I will miss the days of 3.8 and Jelsoft. Anyway, I want to thank all of you for your support. Though I have issue with the company and the direction they are going, I have nothing but good things to say about this community. Y'all are great and I will miss you. Hey anyone looking to buy a 5.0 license cheap?
