Yes, I know that there are login bridges between vBulletin and Joomla (I use one). However, beyond that there isn't much integration available between the two. With Joomla speedily growing leaps-and-bounds ahead of everyone else as the leading CMS, I hope that vBulletin will get on that bandwagon and offer an integration product with Joomla.
Right now, the forum software leaders in the Joomla world are the native Joomla Kunena and non-native phpbb3 as an external system. Yet both are rather primitive compared to vBulletin.
All the same, unless vBulletin jumps into the Joomla arena soon, it will be too late as those other forums software are offering more and more of what vBulletin has and there are many ways to fully integrate them into a unified template system under Joomla. I imagine that if vBulletin does not offer such integration within the next 12-24 months, the window of opportunity will have disappeared.
Just my 2 cents since I truly hope we can continue to operate vBulletin as the software system for our Joomla site.
