Multiple Smilie Paths Allowed?

I have a forum where one of the admins is smilie-happy (no pun intended) and has installed over 2000 smilies. We've just encountered the webhost's FTP limitation where it truncates directory output to 2000 files so that is making it a bit hard to manage the smilie files, although they still work just fine within the forum - it is only FTP output that gets truncated.


My question is: will vBulletin allow multiple smilie folders or does it require one set path? I'm thinking of setting up smilies2, smilies3, etc. folders and keeping the number of files in each below 1000 or so, kind of like VB does automatically with the album files/folders.
