i have set up "internal forums" where access is restricted to specific users (either from a certain user group, or selected users). "internal forums" is a forum category, below there are several other forums. i encounter the following problem:
users from the standard "registered" group, as soon as i allow them to access the "internal forums" category in their individual access authorisations, can see all other subforums as long as i do not specifically set their individual access rights to "no". even when on the forum authorisations page i use the "deny access to all user groups" option, they can still access these forums (while e.g. administrators can't!).
the same problem exists with the user group that should be allowed to access the "internal forums" category as their standard setting, but not the subforums.
has anyone ever had this issue? how can i solve it? i tried setting up the subforum again, but that didn't help. changes in the forum authorisations seem to have no effect on these two user groups.
