Change permission for paid subscriber - help

When creating a new subscription where is an option for each forum (yes and default) for each forum to give them access. I would like to change some of the permissions to Default instead of yes, and after i do so, and go to each of the previously subscribed users control panel, their permission that was set to default(and default is no) is set to the previous yes.


What i want to know, are the changes i made in the Subscription manager only effect new subscribers and not the once that have subscribed before? If this is true, is there a way for me to be able to set for all the previous subscribers the default value for all forums instead of going to each and every one of them controll panel and doing it one by one?

If the changes i made should effect all the old subscribers also, what update counter shoudl i run to have this taken into effect. I think i updated most counters and the setting for all the previous members stayed the same.
