Forum Can anyone help with an unwanted ad.

I am a novice at php - in fact almost useless - I can do basic customizations.
I have just lost all my customizations, I inserted a google analytics script into the header and it
moved stuff about so I removed it.
It left me with a banner ad from AdMedia, I don't know how it got there or where it came from,
I assumed it was linked to the Google script so I disabled google ads. That didn't work and I searched for the ads location but couldn't locate it.
The coding in header template revealed nothing - neither in the headerincludes.
So I deleted the forum and reinstalled but the banner is still there, I have lost all my customisations by reverting the templates.
Can't find any info anywhere on the forums of how to deal with this problem, I can get the host to restore the database but
that will take 2 days. Anyone can tell me how to get rid of the ad that appeared form no-where
(I hate VB it's not at all user friendly, everything I touch ends up causing further problems).
