I'm running vB 4.0.1 using PHP 5.2.5 under Win 2008 with IIS 7 on a quad-core Xeon server. About once a day, php-cgi.exe will hang, consuming 100% of the CPU. If I stop the site, kill the errant processes, and restart, things go OK for a while, until the next hang.
I have all PHP accelerators and caches disabled, as far as I can tell (eaccelerator is installed, but turned off). I'm also running a low-traffic Wordpress site on the same server.
The hangs used to happen with vB 3.8, but much less often. It's so frequent now with 4.0.1 that it's become a big problem.
Has anyone else encountered this? Any ideas on what might be wrong, or how to debug it?
