I'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but OMG whoever designed Stylevars either had some spite against designers or just a control freak.
At least with VB3 I could pick it up within a matter of hours, I didn't need to read any documentation. After mulling through all these documentations I'm still confused about where the heck everything is. The new way of handling styles is NOT intuitive.
I've been a designer for a number of years and I can pick things up rather quickly and I'm still having organizational issue with how things are arranged and put into different areas that may have made sense to whoever put it together but is now just too cumbersome to deal with.
Sorry but I'm just venting the frustration I have over this because my forum thrived on having different styles for the different forums they were in.... but now I have to change every little thing in every little spot to get anything right. My question is why how come it has to be this difficult? The old system was intuitive, simple and it was easy to work with.
Having complete control over the style of the forum is great... I'm down for that. But there's a point where it starts to become confusing.
Since this is a Suggestion forum, then I am suggesting that there be some kind of overhaul. If there are plans to do this, great.. but I think this should be higher on the priority list.
