CMS Way of sorting/filtering alphabetically, articles in section
 

I like the letterbits for memberlist.php so much that I would like to have them in a section of the CMS. This section is used for glossary terms and I would like to allow users to click a letter and show only glossary terms beginning with the letter they chose.

It seemed the easiest method of implementing would be to take some code from memberlist.php and work it into content.php. I was wrong.

So now I am think I can make the letterbits and have them pass the ltr variable in the url and just have the function to handle ltr sorting in vbcms.

I have created a similar system in the past on a coldfusion site that read the database then passed the beginning letter for each title to the div of each item from the SQL result. ie. "A" CONTENT
then used jquery to sort the output by essentially hiding all ltr except the one the user selected from the letterbits menu.

Perhaps I can implement this method? I am hoping for a suggestions to get this done in as little time as possible. Maybe point me in the right direction of what code I could borrow from where on the current vb install.
