Forum Adding a button to the top

However below is what I'm trying to

Hello I upgraded to vb 4.0 and the site seems to be working fine. However one thing users and I miss is some functionality is before there was a menu item I had called "active topics" this made it easy to see what was going on in the forum .

Basically it would have a mouse over or when you clicked on it you would get the following sub items.

Last day
Last 2 days
Last 3 days
Last 4 days
Last 5 days

and the links look like the following on them

So it was a relatively simple thing in terms of what it did. It just a menu with links. How would I go about re-creating that in VB 4.0 ?

to me this basically would be the same as how on this forum there is now a Projects button at the top I'd like something like that with the active topics if possible.
