make mods moderators of the whole forum with just one setting? my usergroup called moderators, is set to have permissions to move and merge and delete, in all the forum, except for 2-3 units, that are only for admins and superadmins.. I can check that via view permissions. I search for all the options and they appear as I would like them, i.e. it appears they have all the options checked, that I want, for the forums I want them to have. BUT when I log in as these users some of them have only access to specific forums automatically, and not the whole forum even though when viewing their permissions, they are all checked as yes. Only when you put them manually as moderators, of forums or groups of forums via the forum manager only then they can really have these attributes, that are allready checked at the usergroup's permissions. is there a way to not need this step, i.e. to make a member, moderator, of the whole forum or the areas that are specified within its usergroup, without having to check each subcategory everytime and add the username manually to those forums or subcategories via the forum manager? How do you automatically -default that a moderator is moderator(can move merge etc all except few options) in the whole forum. plus, in the beginnings of my CP experience :-) I managed that 2 forums DO give moderating attributes to moderators (move merge etc), automatically. How did I manage that? = when I put a member in my moderators usergroup, that member DOES get the options checked as yes in his usergroups permissions, but ONLY for 2 specific forums. I guess what I really want is that feature? thank you in advance!1! |
